Woody's wheel change question

GS Boxers - ADVrider - www.advrider.com
I just got a new 2017 GS Rallye and decided to order a set of Woody's spoke wheels to replace the OEM set that came with the bike. I don't have the equipment to do the wheel/tire change myself, and the closest BMW dealer is about two hours from me. There is a Yamaha dealer close by that can change out the tires and wheels, but they don't have the ability to balance the rear wheel. How critical is it to have a BMW dealer do the swap? I'd prefer to make sure it's done properly, but it's a logistical nightmare to get the new wheels delivered to the BMW dealer and then make the drive on my bike.

Also, the new wheels are 19 x 2.5 front and 17 x 4.25 rear. The OEM's are 19 x3 front and 17 x 4.5 rear. I've been told that even though there is a slight difference in wheel width, it shouldn't be an issue swapping out tires and fitting the new wheels on the bike. Is this correct?
