Karoo 3 Front Tire Post Mortem and Wear Question

GS Boxers - ADVrider - www.advrider.com
Well..not quite post mortem, but it's soon to be heading to Tire Heaven in the next 1K-2K miles. First off - I've been really happy with the Karoo 3 front on my 2008 GS Adventure, coupled with a Tourance (never again) and K60 (love it) rear. It's been grippy enough for my non-aggressive riding style on road, and really good off road. Best of all it's lasted for 13,000 miles (90% pavement, 10% super rocky Arizona trails) and has a small bit more to go. My only complaint is that it's noisy, mostly right between 70 MPH and 90 MPH, which is the sweet spot for highway. Considering changing to a Heidenau K60 front in hopes it may be a bit quieter, however, have been thrilled with the Karoo 3, especially with the lifespan.

My question: The front seems to be wearing disproportionately on the trailing edge of the knobs. I've run it mostly at 36 PSI, and generally it's just 230 lbs of me on the bike. Pressure too high? Is this just the way they tend to wear? I'd appreciate any insight that anyone has.
