ESA still OK at high-ish miles?
As I posted recently I just bought my first GSA. It's an '09 model with 47k miles.
I've gone through 5 pages of threads on this magnificent forum as well as many pages and post on other GS related forums all about suspension, especially ESA. In that process I learned a lot lol, pro's and cons of having ESA, some fall outs and some making up
My question is how many are still on their original ESA suspension with a mileage similar to the bike I bought. I had mine test ridden by a mate as the bike was in the UK and I'm not He is used to sports bikes and reported that the bike behaved A1 when he rode it. Because of the stinky weather we are having here at the moment I was only out on the bike once for about an hour and all I can tell is that it felt fine, but then I have no reference.
So as above how many are still on the original ESA suspension and with what mileage?
Should I start advertising one of the kids to help funding a replacement?
Ps no arguments about what's best, ESA or no ESA, let's keep the peace!
