Brown and white connectors /OE Rectifier

RST1000 Futura (all years) - www.apriliaforum.com
Just had a look at my rectifier. It has no markings on it that I can see, does this mean it?s the original? Bikes a 2004. Brown connector looks okay with no signs of melting but I haven?t taken it apart yet to see if the spade connectors have had a bit of solder added to them. However the white connector shows signs of the plastic casing melting. What would be the best solution here? Replace the rectifier and just connect to existing wiring or just do away with the brown & white connectors and just connect the wires together & cover with heat shrink keeping original rectifier? Thanks.
