1st Gen Vapor Temp Sensor Install
I know there's a million threads about this, but none (that I have found) really address my question. My vapor kit came with the hose assembly that most people just cut their hose and install it and call it a day. Doing that, the sensor reads the fluid AFTER it has been cooled by the radiator, so you're not really get the engine temp, right?
Has anyone pulled the sensor out of that hose insert and put it into the existing thermostat housing? If so, how did you go about it? I found one thread (can't find it now) suggesting you could do that, but they were concerned with the fan not kicking on as well as not getting an accurate reading.
Would it even be worth trying to go that route or should I just stick with cutting into the radiator hose and installing that way? I'm changing coolant tomorrow so I figure that I may as well do the installation then if that's how y'all would recommend doing it.
