Buell - Squish and more

Sportster Motorcycle Drag Racing - The Sportster and Buell Motorcycle Forum - xlforum.net
So...need some help with the math for those that have more knowledge than I.... I measured my stock 99' 883 head gasket at .060, rules allow a .045 gasket no thinner, I can shave .010 off the head and no mention of a base gasket in the rules so will use 3-bond or similar, I tried to measure the base gasket as best I could, got around .016 as it was stuck to the jugs quite well. Stock pistons, heads, D- cams ( plus the addition of 7 mm valves which are only .003 taller).

So stacking this all up I'll be chopping roughly .040 out of the equation ( not knowing how thick 3-bond is when set up...anyone see a problem .
