Suzuki - Mechanical Rev limit?

SVRider Motorcycling Forum - Suzuki SV650 Forum: SV650, SV1000, Gladius Forums - www.svrider.com
Anyone know how fast you can spin an SV? I had a pretty horrific overrev at the track this weekend. I nearly ran off, and was so flustered I guess I downshifted at the top of the gear. It was in gear for over a second before I pulled the clutch in. Hot pitted, listened to the motor, went back out. Ran 3 more sessions. Bike still sounds fine. But I'm kinda worried about it... If I had pulled the clutch in faster, I wouldn't worry at all. But it was under load for a long time, and the tire gripped hard. No chatter, so it all went into the motor.

I'm worried more about the bottom end than the top end.

Video of incident To me, it doesn't sound fully at the top of the gear (but pretty close), and that would have been a 3rd to 2nd downshift over rev.
