Yamaha - MZ Scorpion. 660cc Yamaha based sportbike. I want one. Let's discuss this affliction...

Thumpers - ADVrider - www.advrider.com
So, I was just posting in the "Bike you want today" thread. AND, on this particular day, I was thinking, "I want a big-ass thumper, set-up to ride in a sporty manner on the BR parkway, to keep at my place in the mountains." Sure, I love Sumos and have had a couple and that was what I was initially thinking about. BUT when I was poking around, I ran into the MZ Scorpion, which I remember from back in the day. It's a cool looking bike, that I am pretty sure was German. It used the Yamaha 660cc thumper, with a 5 valve performance head (built by Yamaha, if memory serves), and wrapped in sport bike (at least for back in the late 1990s) frame and nice suspenders, brakes, and brakes. Also, I have a weakness for oddball bikes. I started poking around, and there are a few for sale and they are pretty cheap. Yamaha engine = pretty reliable, can find parts.

I think I might get one.

Am I crazy? Should I call a doctor? Anyone know anything about these peculiar machines?
