Modifying Craftsman lift for Dyna

Dyna Glide Models - Harley Davidson Forums - www.hdforums.com
I picked up a '13 Switchback last week very cheap. It needs tires and some TLC (mainly soap and aluminum polish).

My tires came yesterday and I went to jack the bike up with my Craftsman lift. I had forgotten that Dyna's need a different jack than other Harleys.

I found a youtube video that details how to convert a Craftsman jack to work with a Dyna. Basically just moving the lift pads from the top to the side of the lift. I don't have a concern with the four 1/2" bolts being able to support the weight of any bike.

I'm wondering if anyone here has made this modification, and how it worked for you. If the weather is good tomorrow, I'm planning to get to work. 8" of snow today, sheesh!
